Description

Hello guys,

As I use practically only SWA and many groupware clients and applications (WebEx, for instance) usually send ICS files with appointment data, I would like to know whether there is a way to import such ICS files into Scalix (without using Outlook, of course — only using SWA). It there is none, than I would like to request this as a feature to be included on SWA.

Thx in advance!

Rafael

At this moment there is no such ability in SWA to import ICS file.
So its a future request for next releases.

OK. Thanks for the information, Alexey! I am looking forward to see this implemented on SWA, as it is really taxing to have to manually insert this information on SWA (and is also very error prone).

Best!

1 step complete.
By calling this request

POST /api/sxadmin-test@XXXXXXXXXX.com/mailbox/Calendar HTTP/1.1
HOST: 192.168.122.224
content-type: text/calendar
x-scalix-split-appointments: true
authorization: Basic c3hhZG1pbjox
content-length: 83935

BEGIN:VCALENDAR
PRODID:-//Google Inc//Google Calendar 70.9054//EN
VERSION:2.0
CALSCALE:GREGORIAN
BEGIN:VEVENT
...
END:VEVENT
BEGIN:VEVENT
.....

content of ics will be parsed and for each VEVENT, VJournal (calendar component) will be created separate email message which contains one calendar Event or another component.
Please note that calling this request with the same data will produce duplicated appointments.

Next step is to implement some simple user interface to import ics files easily for a end-user.
