Every action on such messages now causes this dialog to appear.

This is driving me mad ... impossible to work with emails this way

See attached image ( was trying to reply to a message with embedded images)

for now I can tell that.
I have tried to forward message with mime multipart/related and when you are trying to forward in new message dialog appears alert 'xxxx' its just a warning you can click on 'OK' and standard message composing dialog appears but all inline images will be lost.

and I also had popup about could not load metadata for Inbox but it was just once.

Anyway I will look into it. But keep in mind that you can forward email but all inline (cid images) will be lost as far as I know Thunderbird also has such bug so we are not the only who
has this kind of issue

alert 'An error occured while retrieving the metadata for folder '

fixed. need some more time for fixes but in general it should not happen again.

can you please try it at mail scalix.
I have updated to latest stable version. I have tried to forward email with attached images and it look
like that it does not show popup with warning about that it could not process attachments ....

Anyway its not final version.

Update ...

At least in SWA from mail.scalix.com the pop-up dialog warning for the error has disappeared. Also there are no more the annoyances of "connection lost" in preview messages.

Anyway I will look into it. But keep in mind that you can forward email but all inline (cid images) will be lost as far as I know Thunderbird also has such bug so we are not the only who

As far as I know Thunderbird 45.1 (i use it regularly) does not suffer from such behavior. Forwarding of messages runs fine and forwarded messages (with embedded images) are not tampered at all nor the composer shows there are "attachments".

Another strange behavior is this : when trying to "Reply" a message with embedded images has a different behavior from "Forward message" action. In the two screenshots I attach here you can find differences in number of "attachments" appearing in header of the messages. Note I am "Replying to" or "Forwarding" the exact same message.
